I'm reading The Meaning of Beer by Jonny Garrett which is an easy-going look at beer throughout history and the impact its had on things like technology, architecture and medicine. Very interesting (for beer geeks!) and easy to read. Jonny's YouTube channel The Craft Beer Channel is also worth following if you're a beer drinker.

Playing

I'm playing Detroit: Become Human[↗]. Its a great game which flew under my radar when it came out due to being a PS exclusive. Asks a lot of questions about morality and forces you to make difficult choices in the heat of the moment that can have a large impact on the story. I can definitely see why it has Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam.

Work

I'm currently working at a large company building an internal application with a Laravel backend and a Vue frontend. The company has changed a lot in the last few months and I've started looking for work elsewhere. If you know somewhere looking for a PHP dev, feel free to email me!

Projects

Among the many half-baked ideas I'm mostly working on a script to automatically generate Spotify playlists based on festival line-ups. It's probably about 95% done as an MVP and I plan on making the repo public at some point in the future.
